Our Packing List for Thailand (30 Days)

After living in Taiwan for a year, we decided to take a trip through Thailand before heading back to the United States. We received a lot of questions about what we were doing with all of our things from Taiwan, and how we packed for Thailand. Below is a quick video overview of what we did with everything, and most importantly, our packing list for Thailand. Packing lists that friends or other bloggers have shared with us in the past have been very valuable. So we thought this might help someone getting ready for their next trip.

Our Thailand trip included travel to Bangkok, Khao Sok National Park, Koh Phangan and Chiang Mai. We felt prepared and happy with everything we brought!

Caryn’s Bag

Andrew and I have been reducing the amount of things that we own, and that amount gets smaller and smaller all of the time. I wanted to make this trip work with what I already had on hand, so I didn’t buy anything extra for it. I am happy with what I packed overall, however I would have reduced the amount by packing half of the t-shirts shirts and jean shorts. I also would have left the cinnamon and nutritional yeast behind, but I didn’t want to waste them.

It would have been nice to have a couple of light dresses, but I find shorts to be easier to wear on vacation anyway. Especially if we’ll be climbing up stairs or hiking. I don’t have to worry about my dress flying up. Also keep in mind that fabric choices humid, Southeast Asian countries is really important because you will be sweating a lot. Darker colors, linens, and anything flowy will make you feel a lot better.

Andrew’s Bag

Andrew was good with everything he brought, and the amount of items, but he would have brought better shorts with him. He mostly wore basketball shorts, and still would wear basketballs shorts. But the ones he brought were older and he wished he’d brought newer pairs.
